As he is getting the hang of picking up food and chewing with his six teeth, I don't have to puree everything anymore. Do you need cereal for finger foods? Nope. Blueberries cut in half, diced cooked meat, chopped avocados all work just as well, with way more nutrition and no risk of tummy upset.
This kid eats well. Here's a sampling of recent meals:
egg yolks, blueberries, and strawberries
chicken breast, Ranier cherries and avocado
pureed roast beef, carrots with olive oil, and homemade applesauce
pureed pork ribs, sweet potato with coconut oil, chopped green grapes
He's had brisket (without the sauce), chicken korma, saag, and guacamole. This kid loves everything I've given him (and he's come around on bananas too).
He sleeps like a rock, eats like a teenager, has never been sick (not even a sniffle), and is happy and energetic. Forget the nonsense you read about "healthy whole grains". Give your kids REAL food, skip the grains, legumes, dairy, and sugar, and watch them thrive.
