Perspective

This map (from the Denver Post) was more painful to look at than any photo I've seen over the past few days. Every red dot is a lost home. These are my neighbors. People who have lived there for 10, 20, 30 years. This is going to be a very hurt community and it will be a long time to heal. Those of us whose properties escaped fire damage will do what we can to help the people associated with those red dots. Getting that fire stopped is not just about getting home, it's about moving forward and DOING something.

The good news is that there are now zero residents unaccounted for. Everyone is okay. Keep thinking safe thoughts for the firefighters as the winds pick up tonight.

Amy and Mike,
So glad you are safe, and your home is safe. Hope you enjoy your stay in town. Looking forward to seeing you back at the "gym".
