Faith in yourself

What do you do when someone you trusted loses faith in you? That is a hard question. I think the first thing you have to do is shore up what you know about yourself. You can never lose faith in yourself - you can address shortcomings, you can seek change, you can feel frustrated or disappointed. But when it comes down to it, you have to like yourself and believe in yourself. When you feel in your heart that you are giving your best effort at something, don't let someone tell you that you're not. CrossFitters are known for pushing themselves to limits that regular people never approach. But there are all kinds of limits, and a mental or emotional limit is just as valid as a physical limit. It is not about making excuses, it is about knowing yourself better than others know you, and knowing when to stop beating yourself up for things beyond your control. Keep pushing those limits, but at the same time, don't hate yourself for falling short. Failing is just a part of trying.
