WOD: Sevens

Yesterday's WOD:

5 rounds for time of

7 thrusters 38#
7 ball slams (14# MB)
7 pull-ups (2 bands)
7 burpees
7 SDHP 38#

19:28. I tried to do 48# on the thrusters but couldn't quite do it. Next time, hopefully. The burpees weren't too awful. Maybe I'm getting better at them.

I went to knit night at Purl Knit Cafe last night, but just a few people were there. Worked on Joe's scarf a bit (Joe, if you're reading, maybe you'll get a sneak preview picture tomorrow). It's black and chunky and cabled and reversible. I wanted to find a reversible cable pattern because who wants a scarf that only looks good on one side? I found one on the Lion Brand free pattern website and narrowed the cables and edging to work better with a larger gauge, plus changed the edging from seed stitch to garter stitch to make it a little more mindless.

Because everyone likes pictures, here are some pictures I took at the botanical gardens in Golden Gate Park on our vacation to San Francisco.

wooo! scarf!

You'd never think i'd need it today, though. It's disgustingly humid here, but the temperature's just low enough that i look like an asshat for sweating so much.

Don't worry, it'll get cold.
